2025-26 Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Show & Sale

Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Exhibitors are responsible for reading the 2025-26 Rule Book and 2025-26 Important Dates.

RECORD BOOKS AND REPORT CARDS ARE DUE AT THE FAIR ORIENTATION MEETING JANUARY 26, 2026, BY 7 PM.

To receive Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Remind updates: Please join the appropriate Remind class depending on the type of animal(s) you are entering in the show. (The previous Remind classes will no longer be used.)

To join: In the Remind App – choose “join a class” and enter the appropriate Code listed below OR text the code to 810-10.

Show Entries

ALL 2025-26 Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Show Exhibitor Entries – Market Steer, Heifers, Market Swine, Meat Goat, Poultry, Rabbits, and Pee Wee (ages 5-7) – will be processed ONLINE. There are no paper entry forms this year.

Poultry and Rabbit Exhibitors should have their two required photographs ready to upload. They will be prompted to upload the pictures to complete their entry.

See the 2025-26 Highlands County Junior Fair Livestock Show Rulebook and 2025-26 Important Dates for the entry deadline for your animal. You are responsible for reading the Rulebook to be aware of deadlines, general rules, and regulations as well as rules specific to your animal type.

Grades

All 6th grade through 12th grade livestock exhibitors must be a full-time student and have a 2.0 GPA on the most recent report card. Printed, Official Report Cards must be presented for review of GPA eligibility at fair Orientation Meeting. Any exhibitor that does not present an eligible report card at this time will not be allowed to show in the Junior Livestock Show. Home Schooled exhibitors must provide their most current evaluation. All exhibitors must be in good standing according to the Code of Student Conduct as required by The School Board of Highlands County for participation in extracurricular activities.

Seniors in High School that have completed requirements for graduation prior to the Fair may participate in the Junior Livestock Show, providing they were enrolled in High School in Highlands County at the beginning of the current school year and they meet all other requirements of this rule book including organizational membership requirements and GPA requirements for extra-curricular activities participation.

A hard copy of the most recent report card or home school evaluation is due at the Fair Orientation Meeting on January 26, 2026, by 7pm. These documents will be reviewed at this time and returned.

Record Books

2025-26 Large and Small Animal Record Books are due at the Fair Orientation Meeting on January 26, 2026, by 7 PM. Large Animal Exhibitors will ESTIMATE the final weight of their animal and use this estimate for calculations in the record book.

Business and Exhibitor Advertisements

Business and Exhibitor Advertisements for the 2026 Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Show Program are available. Proceeds from the program support the Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Scholarship fund, which provides scholarships for our senior exhibitors that can be used for state college, university or vocational education. The program will be available during the 2026 Highlands County Fair Junior Livestock Show & Sale. The form may be mailed to HCJLC, PO Box 1425, Sebring, FL 33871 or emailed to HCLivestockProgram@gmail.com. Deadline December 30, 2025.
